The "default" key gives you the possibility to set some values by default, without having to repeat some (copy/paste) things.

Set a "prefix" or "suffix" for each and every field, that hasn't got this value set with just 2 lines of code. Use the above config to increase readability in your view.php files.
Remember though that if you use fields for HTML inline styling (or alikes), it may break functionality and you'd have to set a prefix/suffix for that particular field to override this/these default value(s).
The prefix and suffix only takes strings as values (so no booleans or otherwise).
